PI Energy’s third-party testing plans

Part of our development plan includes third-party testing. While we are advancing towards completion of our technology development, our team has recently initiated discussions with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), a US national laboratory of the Department of Energy, to establish procedures for future validation testing of our P4 solar cell. NREL solar PV testing is generally understood as one of the gold standards for solar materials evaluation. Independent testing is important for commercializing technology, to show performance based on industry standard benchmarks. NREL operates both solar PV outdoor test facilities and Regional Test Centers.

Along with our plan to conduct testing at NREL, once we complete our P4 solar cell development, we also intend to separately pursue the first phase of initial pilot deployments. Some potential customers would benefit from NREL testing results and others are ready to conduct their own testing, in small portions of areas, for example on electric buses and industrial roofs.
