The initial driver is still here – the next generation of renewable energy must be far cleaner and lower-cost.

In spite of hundreds of billions of dollars invested globally in renewable energy, the vast majority of renewables are still too expensive, are only being adopted slowly, and have significant carbon footprint.  This challenge led to the founding of PI Energy and it is still driving us today.  Remarkably, we still live in the Age of Fossil Fuels.  As of December 2019, there were over 1000 coal plants in planning, permitting & construction worldwide Source: Global Energy Monitor – https://endcoal.org/tracker/

This is at the core of PI Energy’s mission, to drive down the installed price of solar PV, so that renewable energy can be adopted far more quickly, without relying on subsidies to be adopted globally by being more competitive and practical.
